A Chinese temple is depicted in this image with strings of lanterns bridging the gap between the buildings surrounding it.

Been craving a good laugh and excessively gratuitous use of blank fire? Brett Ratner's Rush Hour (1998) might be just the movie for you this week!

*NO SPOILERS*

Inspector Lee is an accomplished police officer and good friend to the Chinese consul and his daughter, Detective Carter is an eccentric but effective (somewhat)

LA cop. When the consul's daughter is kidnapped on their visit to California, it is up to these two unlikely heroes to scour Hollywood for arms dealers, blow up a gang hideout, and look good for the FBI . . . all while saving the consul's daughter from a hidden enemy.

Highlights

  • Jackie Chan shines with stunts that will leave you shocked wondering how many takes it took for him to disarm someone while hand cuffed to a steering wheel.

  • This movie holds a place as one of my favorite buddy cop movies based solely on the sheer amount of chemistry between Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. You will be quoting these two with your friends non-stop after watching this movie.

  • Plenty of laughs, and a reminder of the joy to be found in true friendship

Where to Watch
